상희는 세대나 시대로 대표되는 시간성에 대한 구체적 감각과 그 감각에 연루된 공동의 이야기를 감상자의 개입 가능성이 열려 있는 인터랙티브 미디어를 통해서 표현해왔다. VR, 퍼포먼스, 리얼타임 시뮬레이션, 그리고 사진과 같은 평면 매체를 작업에 활용하고 있다. 그의 작업들은 플레이어가 된 관객이 주어진 게임적 규칙들을 체현하도록 유도하며, 관객 참여를 통해서 전시장의 현실을 공동의 알레고리로 구성한다. 대표작으로 인터랙티브 VR <원룸바벨>, <Worlding···>, 대화형 퍼포먼스 <조우를 위한 대화형 지도>가 있다. <원룸바벨>으로 프리 아르스 일렉트로니카에서 뉴 애니메이션 부분 특별상을 수상하고 베니스 이머시브 공식 경쟁 부문에 초청받았다.
SANGHEE has explored the theme of temporality ascribed representatively to a specific generation or era. She constructs a communal story related to that temporality through interactive media that allows for the audience’s intervention. She applies VR, performance, real-time simulation, and photography to her works. Her works induce their audiences to embody the given game rules, turning the reality of the exhibition into a participatory, communal allegory. Her representative works include the interactive VR Oneroom-Babel, Worlding···, and the interactive performance Conversational Map for Encounter. Oneroom-Babel won the Award of distinction in the New Animation art at the Prix Ars Electronica and was invited to the official competition section of Venice Immersive.
