Minotaur’s Storage places the viewer in the position of a being that has long lain dormant in the storage. The viewer hopes to leave this labyrinthine storage behind. To do so, they navigate the maze while deciding which of the elements that constitute them to preserve and which to change. The viewer becomes a work longing to be re-exhibited, undergoing the procedures required to be preserved as cultural heritage and historicized, while making the necessary decisions along the way. As Ariadne's thread did in Greek mythology, the trace of thread marking the path taken will finally allow escape from the labyrinth-like storage. The storage, resembling a maze from which escape is difficult, and the therianthropic monster wandering within it express the tension between materiality and immateriality embedded in media art, inviting the viewer into a story entangled with the preservation of media art.
